Ginuwine wants ‘break’ from music

Ginuwine is "burned out" and wants to "take a break" from the music industry.

The 44-year-old RnB star has revealed he’s started to tire of making music and wants to take some time away from the studio, having released his last LP ‘Elgin’ in 2011.

Speaking to exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I’ve been doing it continuously almost for 20 years, I really want to take a break. Maybe a year, and just relax and chill out."

The singer – who features on Tough Love’s new single ‘Pony (Jump On It)’, which is out now – continued to say he is finding it difficult to find new inspiration for his music which is one of the reasons he thinks he needs some time out.

Asked if he is struggling to think of new ideas, he said: "Yeah, definitely, I think that’s one of the reasons I really want to take a break, because I’m kind of burned out, but you know the inspiration does come from stories and, you know, life situations. And, you know I think if I took a little time off and take a step back, I think I’ll be able to create when I come back."

And although he’d like a break, he insisted it’s not going to happen anytime soon.

He added: "There’s a few things I would like to do; for one, I would like to reach 10 CDs because I’m on my ninth one that I’m getting ready to do, and you know, just get one more great run at it. So that’s why I’m continuing to do music, I’m tired, but I’m not that tired to the point where I don’t want to do it no more.

"I’m definitely looking forward to touring again next year and all that stuff, so maybe sooner or later it will happen."
