Motorhead’s Lemmy joins Gutterdammerung

Motorhead’s Lemmy has been added to the lineup for ‘Gutterdammerung’ – a rock ‘n’ roll live movie concept tour.

The ‘Ace of Spades’ rocker will join previously announced Grace Jones, Iggy Pop, Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes and Slayer’s Tom Araya.

The 69-year-old musician – whose band claim to be the loudest band in the world – will be playing a crazed general leading the Armour Cavalry in the "silent" movie/tour.

Announcing the news, Lemmy, real name Ian Fraser Kilmister, commented: "If you don’t like it…f**k off!"

Meanwhile, Tom Araya will be a mysterious messenger of darkness "bringing the light" by setting the silver screen on fire with a truly primal performance.

Gutterdammerung is the work of Belgian-Swedish visual artist Bjorn Tagemose who has worked with Vogue and Louis Vuitton in the past.

It’s described as a part rock show part immersive cinema experience.

Following the tradition of classic movies of 1920’s Hollywood, the film is mostly silent however, the main difference is instead of a single piano there will be a live rock band with special effects from the film exploding into the audience.

It’s expected to hit the road in late 2015 or early 2016.
