Kaiser Chiefs cover The Who

Kaiser Chiefs covered ‘Pinball Wizard’ during an intimate gig in London last night (29.07.15).

The ‘I Predict A Riot’ hitmakers paid homage to The Who midway through their set at the stunning Grade I listed venue One Mayfair with the high-energy song, much to the delight of the assembled crowd of just 400 people.

The gig – part of MasterCard’s Priceless Surprises campaign – also saw the band play some of their biggest hits, including ‘Ruby’, ‘Every Day I Love You Less and Less’ and ‘Coming Home’, as well as tracks from their latest album ‘Education, Education, Education & War’ such as ‘Ruffians on Parade’ and ‘Misery Company’.

The 14-strong set ended with an extended version of ‘Oh My God’ at the close of which the band gathered the crowd to pose for a mass selfie, before exiting the stage to huge cheers.

The Priceless Surprises campaign has seen a number of iconic artists including Kaiser Chiefs, Usher, Mary J. Blige, and Paloma Faith surprise their biggest fans and bring them closer to their music.

Fans can find out how to get tickets to the last gig in the current series – with Paloma – at PricelessSurprises.co.uk.
