Britain’s Prince Charles had Prince William and Harry’s old tree house refurbished for Prince George.
The Prince of Wales made the grounds of his Highgrove home into a playground for his grandson, including a £18,000 hand crafted shepherd’s hut, which has a bed, woodburner and French oak wooden floors installed amongst his "wildflower meadow" in Gloucestershire.
The designer of the hut, Mr. Lee commented: "It is sited on the main drive to the house in a wildflower meadow and Prince George loves it. We crafted it for the prince with our most heartfelt thanks and feel very proud that Prince George is now playing in it."
The tree house – given to Prince William on his 7th birthday in 1989 – is believed to have been built near the Poplar tree, which Charles and his grandson planted earlier in the year.
An insider told the Mail: "The gardens at Highgrove have always been the prince’s passion but he has never lost sight of the fact that this is a family home where his children and now grandchildren play. He and Prince George have already spent some very happy times here together and will no doubt spend many more."
