Ireland Baldwin has poked fun at being branded a "rude, thoughtless pig" by her father.
The 19-year-old model was just 11 years old when her dad Alec Baldwin lashed out in a voicemail – which was subsequently made public – when she didn’t answer his call but she proved the incident was well and truly behind them in a Twitter posting at the weekend.
Alongside a picture of herself with the ’30 Rock’ star, who appeared to be reading a children’s book called ‘If I were a pig’, she wrote: "If I were a pig… I would be a rude and thoughtless one of course!(sic)"
Ireland – whose mother is Alec’s ex-wife Kim Basinger – has previously admitted she wants to be recognised in her own right, not just as her parents’ daughter or a "rude, thoughtless pig".
She wrote on Tumblr: "I also get compared to my Mom quite a bit and this is where I bridge into the point of this whole post. I AM NOT MY PARENTS. I am not seeking fame by association.
"I am proud to be my parent’s daughter, but I don’t want to forever be known as ‘that rude thoughtless little pig’ or ‘Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger’s kid.’ I have passions and interests of my own that I want to soon give life to. I want to be known for helping others and being a healthy role model.(sic)"
