Chris Evans plans ‘Top Gear’ in the pub.
The 49-year-old presenter has revealed he uses The Mulberry Inn in Chiddingfold, Surrey, which he owns, as a place to collate his ideas for the BBC show.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I’m using the pub as the base for all my ‘Top Gear’ planning.
"We’ve had hundreds of ideas. We’ve got through a lot."
And Chris – who is taking over from Jeremy Clarkson as the show’s front man – has previously admitted he feels like "Doctor Who" because of the amount of presenters who have come before him.
He said: "There have been 34 presenters before me, so it’s a bit like ‘Doctor Who’.
"When I took over Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 show, people kept saying ‘I had big shoes to fill’ and they keep saying it again now. By the way, Jeremy is very tall, so they’re even bigger shoes to fill."
And the TV personality has admitted he originally ruled himself out of the running because he didn’t want to be part of the "nonsense", where former host Jeremy was accused of having a fracas with a producer.
He shared: "I honestly didn’t think I’d get the phone call – I was amazed that I did, to be honest. I ruled myself out because I didn’t want to be part of all the nonsense that was going on. But then the situation changed, and I wasn’t stepping on anybody’s graves or toes."
