Britain’s Queen Elizabeth could appear on collectables TV show ‘Antiques Roadshow’.
The 89-year-old monarch has agreed to let the show film in the grounds of her Balmoral estate in Scotland later this month, with fans hoping she will make a guest appearance as she will be in residence while it is being recorded.
The series – which has been running for over 30 years – shows members of the public bringing items and collectables to be valued by experts and is reportedly one of The Queen’s favourites.
If she does make an appearance, it wouldn’t be the first time as she along with her husband Prince Philip featured on the programme last year when it was recorded at Hillsborough Castle near Belfast, which is The Queen’s official residence in Northern Ireland.
In the episode, the couple had a private meeting with experts and showed interest in some family treasures at the estate including a George IV library table and an Aboriginal fighting club called a Wagga Wagga stick which was given to her in 1954 during a tour of Australia.
However, breaking the usual practise of the BBC programme, the monarch asked the experts not to reveal the value of the items.
