Sinitta has slammed Simon Cowell for choosing Nick Grimshaw as an ‘X Factor’ judge.
The ‘So Macho’ singer has made no secret of her desire to have one of the coveted slots on the panel and is baffled as to why her friend and former lover chose the BBC Radio 1 DJ ahead of her.
She said: "I beg Simon for a spot on the panel.
"I don’t get his decision to choose Nick Grimshaw – he can’t sing! How can he judge other singers?
"I think Simon ad Nick are good mates though, so he chose him to have a pal on the panel."
Despite this year’s panel of Simon, Nick, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rita Ora being finalised, Sinitta – who has two adopted children, Magdalena and Zac – won’t give up on her dream of being a permanent fixture on the show.
She said: "I won’t stop begging. My kids often bug me for things and won’t stop until I give in. So that’s the tactic I’m using."
The 51-year-old star will be back on this year’s show to assist at Judges’ Houses, and admits she plans to "shock" once again with an outrageous outfit.
She added to Closer magazine: "Oh I always have a trick or two up my sleeve. I love to shock."
