Jason Derulo stripped off and wowed fans at Isle of MTV

Jason Derulo thrilled crowds in Malta with a greatest hits set at Isle of MTV.

The ‘Talk Dirty’ singer wowed the 50,000 strong audience on Wednesday (07.07.15) – who were also treated to performances from OMI, Tori Kelly and the band Echosmith – at Valletta’s Il-Fosos Square when he sang favoured hits ‘Riding Solo’, ‘Whatcha Say’ and ‘It Girl’ as well as his latest chart winner ‘Want To Want Me’.

Stripping down to just his jeans, the ripped pop star pleased fans by performing the chart-topping hit which became his sixth top 10 single on the charts in the US.

And speaking to BANG Showbiz before the event, the singer revealed he didn’t realise the track would become one of his biggest successes.

He said: "I had no clue [of the success it would have]. That happens to be my biggest hit thus far … I started to play it for people and they were flipping out and I was like, cool this is a special one."

Tori Kelly, 22, opened for Jason with tracks ‘Nobody Love’ and ‘Dear No One’ from her album ‘Unbreakable Smile’ while young sibling act Echosmith performed their fan-favourite ‘Cool Kids’ and ‘Come Together’ as the sun set on the Isle of Malta crowd.

Later however, it was Jamaican singer songwriter OMI who provided a show worthy of a headline act when he performed his chart success ‘Cheerleader’ for excited fans.

The crowd joined in by singing the catchy summertime tune, which was originally released in 2012 but won over fans earlier this year thanks to a remix from producer Felix Jaehn.

Finally, finishing off the night in style was 19-year-old EDM DJ Martin Garrix who performed his hits ‘Animals’ and ‘Don’t Look Down’ along with an epic demonstration of pyrotechnics whilst streamers and confetti rained down on what was, in fact, a euphoric night.

Isle of MTV will broadcast across all MTV channels on August 1.
