Taraji P. Henson dreams of being a Bond girl

Taraji P. Henson dreams of starring as a Bond girl.

The 44-year-old actress, who’s currently appearing in the US drama ‘Empire’, has revealed she craves the opportunity to star as the love interest of the iconic secret agent.

Asked about her future career ambitions, Taraji told The Hollywood Reporter: "I want to play a superhero. I want to be a Bond girl. I want to play a man. I want to play a white woman."

Meanwhile, it was recently speculated that the Bond franchise could be about to move from Sony Pictures to another Hollywood studio.

The much-anticipated new Bond movie, ‘Spectre’, is the last scheduled film for the studio and it’s been suggested the brand will soon switch to Warner Bros because of the strong relationship between the company’s Chief Executive, Kevin Tsujihara, and MGM Chief Gary Barber.

Tom Rothman, Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group Chairman, said: "The reality is that Sony’s had a fantastic run with the Bonds.

"Sure we’re going to compete for (the rights), but let’s be honest, so is everybody in the business."

Sony’s multi-picture pact saw the studio create a host of recent Bond movies, such as ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Quantum of Solace’ and ‘Skyfall’.
