Jared Leto took his mother to the Oscar Awards last night (02.03.14).
The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ – who has been romantically linked to Taylor Swift and Lupita Nyong’o recently – decided to take his mum Connie to the awards ceremony, held in Los Angeles, instead of a lover.
The 42-year-old actor uploaded a screenshot onto Instagram of him and his brother, Shannon, video messaging their mother.
He accompanied the cute snap with the caption: "My mothers face when @shannonleto and I told her she was coming to the #Oscars with us! (sic)".
This isn’t the first time the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has taken his mum to an awards show as he took her to the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) in January and also dedicated his prize to her.
Jared – who was honoured as the Best Supporting Actor for his role as Rayon in the biopic – said at the SAG awards: "Last but not least, [thank you] to my mother, the hottest date in town. I just want to say, thank you for giving me such a shining and wonderful example of the possibilities of life. For showing me the power of dreams and being the best mother in the entire world. I love you."
