Chris Ramsey: Meeting Tom Hanks was like meeting God

Chris Ramsey says meeting Tom Hanks was "like meeting God".

The 28-year-old comedian claims he rarely finds himself feeling starstruck in the presence of celebrities but that he couldn’t help but get excited when he came face to face with the ‘Captain Phillips’ actor.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I’ll tell you the most starstruck I’ve been. I met Tom Hanks once. I was doing a warm up for ‘The Graham Norton Show’ and I met Tom Hanks and it was like meeting God. He was amazing. He was charisma on a stick. It was unbelievable, he just lit up every room he was in."

Chris – who often appears on the comedy panel show ‘Celebrity Juice’ – also confessed he got over-excited when he was told ‘This Morning’ presenter Phillip Schofield was going to be on an episode of the show.

He explained: "I thought I was going to be starstruck once when Phillip was on but then he wasn’t but I would have been absolutely buzzing with Schof because I’d love to meet Phillip Schofield but I haven’t met him."

Meanwhile, Chris has teamed up with Swiftcover in a bid to encourage people to celebrate getting out on the road to explore the sights and landmarks of the British Isles.

The funnyman of the moment will be performing a one off exclusive comedy show at the London Transport Museum on July 23rd – visit www.swiftcover.uk/roadtrip to apply for free tickets.
