Ferne McCann thought she had her life "mapped out" with Charlie Sims.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star was dumped on Twitter by her co-star in March and she admits the news came as a shock as she thought they had a long-term future together.
She told Closer magazine: "I thought my life was mapped out.
"Me and Charlie were looking at moving in [together] and I imagined I’d be married by the age of 25 and ready to have kids.
"One night I went to bed, happily in a relationship the next, it was all over – and on social media. It was hard."
The 24-year-old star admits her desire to stay on ‘TOWIE’ while Charlie wanted to leave caused a huge rift in their relationship, but she also felt their romance had "run its course".
She said: "He wanted to leave the show and I didn’t and that did cause a fracture in the relationship.
"I also think it had run its cause and we just wanted different things."
However, Ferne hasn’t ruled out a reunion with her former lover in the future.
She admitted: "I have a lot of love for Charlie so I will never say never."
