Perfect timing for Hulk Hogan’s WWE return, says DDP

Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE is perfect timing, according Diamond Dallas Page.

Retired wrestler Dallas – who is the creator of exercise phenomenon DDP Yoga – was thrilled to see the iconic star back on TV show ‘RAW’ this week and insists with the 30th anniversary of ‘WrestleMania’ in April and the launch of the WWE Network streaming service everything is just right for The Hulkster’s comeback after six years away.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Dallas said: "I think it’s great that Hogan is back not only because the WWE Network is such an awesome thing but it also couldn’t be better timing with ‘WrestleMania XXX’ round the corner."

Dallas – also known as DDP – is also very excited that his friend Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year

DDP has helped get alcoholic Jake – who was recently diagnosed with skin cancer – healthy and sober since inviting him to live at his home in October 2012 and he is hoping he gets to induct his former mentor at the ceremony at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on April 5

Dallas – who is bringing his one-man comedy show to the UK from this weekend as well as hosting two DDP Yoga workshops – said: "We’re working hard to get Jake ready for the Hall of Fame, we want him to be in the best shape for it.

"I’d like it to be me who inducts Jake, I’d love to do it, that would be an honour but that remains to be seen, we’re waiting to hear from the WWE because they control that. But really I don’t care who inducts Jake. When Jake told me it was happening … it was so emotional. I needed to decompress."

Hogan has announced he is the host of ‘WrestleMania XXX’ which takes place on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Tickets for ‘BANG!: An Audience With Diamond Dallas Page’ are on sale now at Eroscomedy.com with shows in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Belfast and Cork.
