Christine Bleakley trying to plan wedding

Christine Bleakley hasn’t had time to plan her wedding.

The television presenter has been engaged to football star Frank Lampard for four years and is hoping the pair can finally start preparing to tie the knot when they reach New York.

She said: "It would be lovely to try to get it done but we don’t really know where we are with Frank and football.

"Hopefully we will know more soon when we get to New York."

But Christine has insisted she doesn’t want anything too fussy when the pair eventually find time to wed.

She added: "It will be our nearest and dearest invited, people we are close to, it will be family-oriented.

"Hopefully it will be good food, good drink and a good old knees-up. It will be a bit of an old-fashioned wedding in that respect.

"Would we do a deal with a glossy magazine? I don’t think so. It’s not for us."

And the 36-year-old television personality is glad the pair aren’t making their move to the Big Apple permanent as she enjoys living in London.

She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Home is London for us and there is no furniture moving anywhere, so the ability to dip in and out of this mad world we have all grown up with watching movies and ‘Friends’, I’m looking forward to that.

"I’m looking forward to having a bit of an adventure. I’m excited about going to all the different sporting events, I want to go to everything there is. And then it will be exciting to watch Frank play in a new environment, that is going to be a new challenge for him in all the right ways."
