Adam Richman is to front a new ITV series titled ‘BBQ Champ’.
The ‘Man V. Food’ star will appear in the five part cooking series, joined by a team of contenders who will compete against each other to become the first champion of the BBQ.
Each episode will see contenders prove themselves in various challenges and attempt to win Adam’s approval with their dishes as he decides who should be sent home.
The star said: "As an American who has come to truly love the UK, I’m overjoyed to see the UK embracing BBQ. Not just eating ‘cue, but crafting it, creating it and pushing themselves to make the best and be the best. And we are looking for the best to be our BBQ Champ!"
ITV is "delighted" to have welcomed Adam – who is known for devouring mammoth meals while taking on various eating challenges across America in the US show – on board.
Their commissioning editor of entertainment, Kate Maddigan said "We’re delighted to welcome Adam to the channel. He’s perfectly placed to discover Britain’s untapped BBQ talent and we look forward to a really great competition."
The show is set to air on ITV this summer.
