Britain’s Prince William to miss royal birth?

Britain’s Prince William has promised to "do everything he can" to attend a First World War memorial on Saturday (25.04.15) despite it also being the day his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, is due to give birth to their second child.

The 32-year-old royal has vowed to join the commemorations at the Cenotaph in London, which mark the 100 year anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in Turkey, as the event is "very important to him".

It remains unknown whether the Duke is set to join his grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh at the memorial service as his wife, 33, could go into labour the same day.

A source told The Mail on Sunday newspaper: "The Duke’s intention is to be at the commemorations. Being the 100th anniversary it is very important to him.

"We will have to see what happens.

"The Duchess has said the baby is due at the second half of the month but we don’t know exactly when the baby will arrive."

It appears Prince William won’t be far from his wife’s side if she does go into labour as the brunette beauty is believed to be basing herself at Kensington Palace in the capital, just a short journey away from Paddington hospital, where it is reported she will give birth.
