Charlie Brooks was once told she looked like a "f***ing dog".
The former ‘EastEnders’ star claims a random woman once told her not to be offended but that she looked like her character Janine Butcher, not realising she was the actress who played her on the BBC One soap for over two decades.
Asked what the strangest thing anyone’s ever said to her is, Charlie shared: "So, a woman once said to me, ‘Don’t take offence to this because she is a f***ing dog, but you look a little like that Janine off ‘EastEnders”."
Although Charlie, 33, is best known for playing the heartless "bitch" Janine, the former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ champion insists she’s nothing like her in real life and wishes she could tell her younger self to "be braver".
The blonde beauty also confessed she’s "terrified" of live theatre despite having appeared in a live episode of ‘EastEnders’
She told Gay Times magazine: "You have to stand up in front of people on stage.
"It’s thrilling and I adore it. But that first night is probably the worst. I’d rather be run over by a bus."
Charlie is on the road playing venues across the UK as a part of the ‘Beautiful Thing’ tour.
