Caroline Flack in talks to host Love Island

Caroline Flack is in talks to present ‘Love Island’.

The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner, who is also being lined up to present the next series of ‘The X Factor’ with Olly Murs, is in advanced discussions with ITV bosses about hosting the show on her own, although her commitments to the singing competition may mean she is unable to take the job.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Caroline’s been in talks for some time about being the sole presenter of ‘Love Island’.

"Obviously the ‘X Factor’ job complicates things a bit because it’s going to screen over summer.

"But they’re looking at the dates and trying to make it work around her.

"It’s a real sign that she’s right back in favour at ITV."

The show – which originally ran for two series’ between 2005 and 2006 – was confirmed to be making a comeback earlier this year, with the broadcaster revealing a host of famous singletons will once again be jetting off together to live in a private villa with the hope of finding love.

The original show saw 12 celebrities spend five weeks on an island in Fiji with the winning couple receiving a prize fund worth £50,000, with Calum Best and his love interest Bianca Gascoigne being crowned the winners of the second series before the show was axed.
