Conor Maynard loves BRITs friends

Conor Maynard loves meeting up with his famous friends at the BRIT Awards.

The 21-year-old singer was a guest at the annual ceremony on Wednesday night (19.02.14) – the fourth time he has attended – and likes the fact he gets to mingle with other musicians when he’s there.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I think one of the best things is getting to see a lot of artists you haven’t seen in a while. It’s like a catch-up … I share a label with Tinie Tempah and he’s a really cool guy, so we hang out. It’s also good for meeting new people and meeting new artists you haven’t seen before. It’s very exciting."

When asked if had cleared his schedule for Thursday (20.02.14) to cope with his post-BRITs hangover, Conor laughed: "That’s always a good idea, I better check what I’m doing!"

Although he loves going to awards shows, Conor always feels nervous when host James Corden starts asking the audience impromptu questions.

The ‘R U Crazy’ singer – who performed at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York as part of BRITs Week at The O2 on Tuesday night (18.02.14) – said: "It’s quite nerve-wracking, especially with James Corden presenting it, you never know what’s going to happen. He could come over to you and ask you some random question and put you on the spot! It could be a career-ending moment!"
