Elliott Wright has quit ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.
The father-of-two revealed to his on-off girlfriend Chloe Sims that he is moving back to Spain – where his children and former partner live – to pursue more business opportunities on last night’s (25.03.15) episode of the ITVBe show.
He said: "An opportunity to open a restaurant in Marbella has come up and I’m going to take it. It means me leaving Essex. I don’t know if we can work it out. If I do go, I’m going to miss you."
Chloe was visibly shocked by his revelation, replying: "You’ve just dropped a bomb that you might be leaving Essex."
Chloe and Elliott first got together last summer after Elliott joined the show earlier in the year but they’ve since broken up numerous times, with the hunk admitting he has to focus on his kids now.
He added: "I don’t want to go over there thinking about if you and me could have worked out."
Elliott is believed to have joined the show in an attempt to follow in the footsteps of his cousin Mark Wright, who has launched a successful career as a TV presenter since quitting the show on which he was one of the original cast members.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Elliott can no longer commit to six weeks of intensive filming in Essex, giving his commitments in Spain.
"It’s a shame, as he really wanted to use the show as a launch pad to bigger things.
"Mark was his inspiration but sadly he’s not been quite as successful.
"He hasn’t closed the door completely on TOWIE but accepts it will be hard to be a regular presence."
The hunk will appear in the remaining episodes of the current series, which concludes on Easter Sunday (05.03.15) and will also feature in the upcoming Marbella specials as he will be living and working in the holiday destination.
