Amanda Holden loves Queen’s wheels

Amanda Holden was impressed with Queen Elizabeth’s car when the monarch opened a new set of kennels at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home on Tuesday (17.03.15).

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge was invited to the event because she is an ambassador for the animal shelter in London and she was very "proud" to have the opportunity to meet the monarch and she couldn’t believe how luxurious the queen’s Bentley State Limousine is.

In a post on her Twitter account, Amanda said: "Me with the Queens wheels! @BDCH Her majesty did the opening of our new kennels. Proud moment (sic)"

When Amanda was introduced to the 88-year-old royal, she suggested Queen Elizabeth adopt owner-less corgi Beama, the 12-year-old mutt that was introduced to her wearing a Union Flag.

The ‘TV’ star asked the queen: "Are you are not tempted to take a corgi home?"

To which the queen replied: "Maybe. Not at the moment."

Amanda admitted she was tempted to take an unwanted dog home with her after spending the day at the shelter and she has promised her two daughters they can get a mutt mate for their pooch Rudie soon.

The 44-year-old beauty is quoted by the MailOnline as saying: "I was always a huge fan before I took on the ambassador’s role. We already have one dog but I have told my daughters we may well get another one in the autumn. We will see how things go."

The queen – who was accompanied to the event by her husband Prince Philip – owns two corgis Willow and Holly and Candy and Vulcan, two dorgis which are a corgi/dachshund cross breed.

Other stars in attendance were model David Gandy and talk show host Paul O’Grady, both of whom are ambassadors for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
