Michelle Keegan used to feel like an "imposter".
The 27-year-old actress felt inadequate next to the experiences of her colleagues on ‘Coronation Street’ when she first joined the soap as Tina McIntyre in 2008.
She admitted: "I used to feel like an imposter. I’d listen to others in the ‘Corrie’ green room talking about their experiences and other acting roles and I’d think to myself, ‘I’m going to get found out.’ "
Despite establishing herself as an actress since then, Michelle – who left the soap last year when her character was murdered – admits being invited to glamorous celebrity events with her fiance Mark Wright still leaves her stunned.
She said: "I think, ‘Why am I here?’ It’s so hard to get your head around. I’ve grown up watching people that I’ve now met and sat on tables with at events – people like Taylor Swift. I feel so lucky."
However, despite mixing in showbiz circles, the brunette beauty insists her life is still as "normal" as it was before she found fame.
She told HELLO! magazine: "But as soon as it’s over, I go home and my life is normal again. Nothing has changed. I still have the same group of friends and go to the same places. These are such pinch-me moments."
