Vic Reeves will lead a One Direction tribute band for Comic Relief.
The ‘Shooting Stars’ comedian will be joined by fellow comedy stars Jack Dee, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas and Nick Helm to create a spoof band called No Direction.
The group will make their debut on Red Nose Day, performing the band’s hit ‘Best Song Ever’ during the charity show’s broadcast on BBC One.
Vic will become Harry Styles whilst Jack will perform as Louis Tomlinson. Patrick and Nick will portray Niall Horan and Zayn Malik respectively and Johnny will become Liam Payne for the night.
The real band have given the comedy act their blessing and are "gutted" they won’t be able to attend the event to give their support to the comedy group because of touring commitments in Asia.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The band think it’s a great laugh and know it will raise a huge amount of money for those less fortunate than them…
"The boys are gutted they can’t cheer on the band but they’ll be watching – and judging – their efforts."
No Direction have been busy in rehearsals all week as they work to master a complicated dance routine as well as perfecting the band member’s individual style.
