Dan Osborne’s ex-girlfriend has denied claims she leaked a tape in which he is allegedly heard threatening to stab her.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star’s former girlfriend Megan Tomlin – with whom he has 15-month-old son Teddy – has spoken out to insist she wasn’t responsible for selling or leaking the recording.
She said: "No, I didn’t leak the tape. I’m looking into how it’s got so much media attention. The police have it, obviously, and I have been accused of selling it. I didn’t."
The tape – which is said to have been made last year – reportedly features Dan telling Megan he’ll stab her if she sleeps with another man despite them having been broken up for a number of months at the time.
He then goes on to call her "dirty" and tells her to "go f**k" herself before appearing to deny his relationship with ‘EastEnders’ actress Jacqueline Jossa – who gave birth to their daughter Ella just last month.
Dan, 23, has now been suspended from TOWIE while ITVBe bosses discuss the matter with him.
However, after an investigation into historic domestic abuse claims was opened by Essex Police last month, they have now confirmed no further action is to be taken against the star.
Meanwhile, Megan claims she hasn’t been in contact with her former flame since the tape was leaked and insists she has no interest in splitting him and Jacqueline, 22, up.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It hasn’t been a nice experience. I haven’t spoken to him. We’ve had no contact.
"It’s been a little while now. He’s not seen Teddy as much but he’s in his routine.
"I’ve had a lot of support from family and friends. It is a private situation. I’ve got family and friends who are probably trying to defend me but what’s been written hasn’t come from me.
"If I was going to ruin it [his relationship] I would have come out a long time ago."
