Naughty Boy: One Direction will be together for 20 years

Naughty Boy believes One Direction "will be together for the next 20 years".

The producer – whose real name is Shahid Khan – has recently been working with one of the band’s members, Zayn Malik, on new music, but believes although they may be interested in making their own songs, they will stay together forever.

He said: "I still think there’s nothing wrong with trying different things.

"They are all experimenting and dabbling but I think the band will be together for the next 20 years."

The 29-year-old DJ has recently snapped in the studio with the ‘Steal My Girl’ singer, and has now revealed their time spent together has resulted in music for the band’s next album, as well as some music for the ‘La La La’ hitmaker’s forthcoming solo record.

He explained: "I can’t deny the fact that we have made music together.

"That’s music we’ve made for One Direction and also that Zayn is going to feature on my next album.

"We’re making music and having fun. This is just like a side gig and I don’t think there is anything wrong with it."

And although the group – which also features Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne – have topped charts around the world with their catchy tracks, the producer believes Zayn’s contribution to his album will show more of his potential.

He told The Sun newspaper: "It’s a good time for Zayn to showcase what he really can do.

"I don’t think that is being fully exploited within the band because there are five people and it needs to be balanced out.

"They all have something to show the world as individuals. They can always come back together and do their thing. I don’t think they will ever split up."
