50 Cent wants to host Top Gear

50 Cent thinks he could "save" ‘Top Gear’ – but he’ll only agree to present it if he’s offered a mega-money deal.
The ‘Candy Shop’ hitmaker is convinced he’d be the perfect person to host the revamped motoring show following the recent departure of Chris Evans but he’d only take pen to paper and sign a deal if the BBC offer him a lot of cash.
He explained: "I would love to work on ‘Top Gear’, I could save that show for sure… but it would cost them!
"There ain’t a car I haven’t owned over the years. My car collection is as good as anybody’s."
And the 41-year-old rapper believes the car programme, which was initially fronted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond until they were sacked last year, has gone down hill since Chris took over as host.
Speaking to the Daily Star Online, he said: "’Top Gear’ was one of the world’s iconic shows and it’s a shame it came to this. The show since the old team left has been unrecognisable and if it don’t get back to where it should be soon then it may never recover.
"It’s a show you know you can watch in any country you are in. They got to get it right again for all the fans."
Meanwhile, Chris, who had signed a three-year deal back in December to host the show, sensationally quit the programme last month after the final episode pulled in its lowest viewing figures since 2002.
It’s now believed his co-host Matt LeBlanc will now front the programme on his own when the next series hits screens.
