Lamar Odom making own decisions

Lamar Odom is making his own decisions in hospital.
The basketball star is recovering in hospital after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel following a four-day drink and drug binge but is reportedly making such good progress, he is able to communicate with his doctors and fully participate in decisions about his treatment, according to TMZ.
The news means it is likely the 35-year-old former NBA star is the one who prevented his father Joe Odom from visiting him at Los Angeles' Cedar-Senai Medical Center, not his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian as his dad had claimed.
Joe told TMZ: "I'm mad, I'm upset because this is the second time I came to see my son and they won't let me see my son.
"It's a lot of sabotage going on. Like why can't I see my son? I brought him in the world."
Asked why he was unable to visit his son, Joe blamed Khloe and said: "They say I'm not on the visiting list."
An insider recently revealed Lamar is "getting stronger every day".
The source said: "Lamar is getting better every day. He is more coherent and can talk more. [He is] walking with help now. He is getting stronger every day.
"And has a great team of therapists and specialists working with him. He's 6' 11" and weighs a lot, so getting him to walk a little has been really hard."

Caitlyn Jenner’s life meaning

Caitlyn Jenner feels she was "put on this earth" to raise transgender issues.
The 'I Am Cait' star - who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - feels she must tell her story "on the highest level" for the sake of the entire community she represents.
She told Glamour magazine: "I started thinking, 'Maybe this is why God put me on earth.' This issue has been swept under the rug for so long.
"I need to tell this story on the highest level you can possibly do it. Not just for me but for this entire community."
Meanwhile, the 66-year-old television personality - who has been named one of Glamour magazine's Women of the Year - previously admitted she lies awake at night worrying if she is a good role model for young people.
She shared: "It's 4.32am in the morning. And I can't sleep. In the monitor, I look like c**p but anyway.
"I feel bad that people, especially young people, are going through this difficult time in their life. We don't want people dying over this, we don't want people murdered over this stuff. What a responsibility I have towards this community.
"Am I going to do everything right? Am I going to say the right things? Am I going to project the right image? My mind is just spinning with thoughts. I just hope I get it right."

Nicole Richie hosting women’s conference

Nicole Richie is set to host her first women's conference.
The 'Simple Life' star - who will be joined by 'GOOP' founder Gwyneth Paltrow for the first event of her recently launched Pearl xChange series next month - says the theme of the conference is inspired by how she is "building" her life.
She shared: "I'm 34 and the past four years have been really interesting. It's been a time for me to kind of quiet down and listen to the world around me.
"I have a husband, we have two kids and I'm really building my life. That's what my 30s have been about. That's been the theme; focusing on what I want to do and who I want to be and really taking that seriously."
The conference, which will take place at Sheraton Universal, Los Angeles on November 8, will feature talks from the likes of astronaut Dr. Jeanette Epps, life coach Dougall Fraser as well as a special appearance from the 'Mortdecai' actress.
Speaking in a video for Oprah.com, Nicole continued: "We will talk about everything from conscious living to science to building your business; friendship and how to deal with fear. We're really covering all aspects of life between the six different speakers."

Lamar Odom ‘getting stronger’

Lamar Odom is "getting stronger every day".
The basketball star is recovering in hospital after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel following a four-day drink and drug binge but is reportedly making significant improvements.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Lamar is getting better every day. He is more coherent and can talk more. [He is] walking with help now. He is getting stronger every day.
"And has a great team of therapists and specialists working with him. He's 6' 11" and weighs a lot, so getting him to walk a little has been really hard."
Meanwhile, Lamar's estranged wife Khloé Kardashian recently opened up about the pair's relationship, insisting they are not getting back together despite calling off the divorce.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star said: "I pulled back on the divorce because there is no rush for it. For medical decisions and a ton of other things, it's just smarter that it's put on hold. But that doesn't mean I'm back with Lamar. It's not even in our brains to think about us having a relationship.
"I loved him always, and I will always love him. I don't believe love is fickle. I believe when you love someone, you are allowed to love from afar. You don't have to be with that person in order to love him."

Alexa Chung’s ’25 decades’ of heartbreak

Alexa Chung was heartbroken for "about 25 decades" after she split from Alex Turner.
The 31-year-old beauty was devastated when her romance with the Arctic Monkeys rocker ended in 2011 and thinks she receives less abuse now about her slender frame because she looks "healthier" and feels "happier".
She said: "Sometimes they'll troll me for being too thin. Less so now. I probably look a bit healthier. I'm definitely happier. I'm just not heartbroken any more, which went on for about 25 decades."
Alexa - who is rumoured to be dating Alexander Skarsgard - is "open" to having a child in the future but doesn't have a "desperate" need to have kids yet.
She said: "I'm still waiting for that to kick in. I'm not thinking babies. I mean, they look great. I'm open to it and I would like a family one day, but I'm not desperate to get moving on that front.
"Or I could - I don't know. I've heard mixed reviews. It's also about finding someone you want to have a baby with. That's what I've heard."
But the presenter admits she does want to settle down more and find a permanent base.
She told ELLE magazine: "I wouldn't mind figuring out where to be based properly because I'm flip-flopping around between London and New York. The diary dates go in and then I'm just chasing those obligations. That could continue forever, which is a worry.
"I just turned down something I really wanted to do because I was being practical about time. But I do like the balance at the moment. I have more free time and travel less. I want to have a boyfriend and I want to have a home - to do all those things."

Lady Gaga felt like a ‘money making machine’

Lady Gaga nearly quit music because she felt like she had become a "money making machine".
The 'Pokerface' hitmaker admits there was a point where she felt "overworked" and decided to put her happiness before her career.
She shared: "I have had to make decisions. 'Why am I unhappy? Okay, Stefani (her real name), Gaga, hybrid-person. Why are you unhappy? Why is it that you wanted to quit music years ago?'
"I feel sad when I'm overworked, and that I just become a money making machine, and that my passion and my creativity take a back seat; that makes me unhappy. It feels shallow. I have a lot more to offer than my image."
However, the 29-year-old singer changed her mind once she "slowly but surely" started to remember who she is as a person.
Speaking as part of the Emotion Revolution project, she added: "Slowly but surely, I remembered who I am. Then you go home and you look in the mirror and you're like 'Yes, I can go to bed with you every night.'
"Cause that person? I know that person. That person has balls. That person has integrity. That person just doesn't say yes."

Rooney Mara likes to be alone

Rooney Mara prefers to be a "nomad".
The 'Pan' star insists she would rather be on her own during downtime as she spends so much time with other people when on a movie set.
She shared: "I like being alone. I need a lot of alone time as a human. And especially on a movie set when you're around people all day long. So it's actually kind of nice to go home to a hotel and be alone and unwind.
"But, of course, it gets lonely. I'm constantly either in hotels or somewhere else. But I like it. I might get tired of it at some point, but for now I like being a nomad."
However, the 30-year-old actress enjoyed working alongside her "idol" Cate Blanchett on their latest film 'Carol'.
She gushed to Interview magazine: "She's just so incredible. It was pretty easy to pretend to be enamoured by her. And she's quick and witty and funny. She's very confident. It's amazing.
"Usually it's not that great to meet your idols and work with them; it's kind of a letdown. This definitely wasn't. She's much different than I had in my head, but kind of better, in a way. It was also obviously terrifying."

Selena Gomez’s womanly outfits

Selena Gomez's outfit choices make her "feel like a woman".
The 'Good For You' hitmaker credits her stylist Kate Young, who she presented the Stylist of the Year gong to at the InStyle Awards, for helping her realise that she could be "sexy" without opting for barely-there outfits.
She told InStyle magazine: "I just feel like she brings me to this very classic, simple place. I just feel like a woman, if that makes sense. She's made me feel like a woman.
"Ultimately, when you push yourself and there's change, that's when you get your best anything - your best music, your best work, your best everything. To me, she made me feel really great.
"When you're young, especially my generation, you think sexy is always the way to go. I didn't know that there were different versions of sexy that could be possible until I met Kate. She really opened my eyes to feel sexy as a woman without needing certain things."
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old beauty previously admitted she was "coming into [her] own".
She shared: "It's almost like a metamorphosis. I feel like I'm coming into my own. I've been through stuff and I think that it's been able to test me as a person. And I feel like I'm in charge of everything.
"It's my time to just stop and say this is my perspective on where I am. I can't make everyone happy. I need to learn to love myself first."

Sandra Bullock’s ‘inappropriate’ Halloween costume

Sandra Bullock's son chose "the most inappropriate" Halloween outfit for her.
The 'Minions' star has revealed she was flicking through a costume catalogue with her five-year-old son Louis for matching outfits for the pair of them when he selected and pointed out the 'Slutty Batgirl' costume for his mother.
Recalling what happened, she said: "We usually match, but this year he sort of deviated off the matching.
"It was like the most inappropriate thing. You know how there's regular Batgirl, and then there's the ones for those moms that like to really turn it out? Like, with a little leather skirt, and the boots that go over the knee, and a bustier? I'm not going to be wearing that.
"He went, 'Momma, you have to wear this!' And I went, 'No, mamma doesn't have to. I'm not wearing that around your friends.'"
However, deciding to choose a different outfit, the 51-year-old actress has now narrowed down her choices ahead of the holiday.
When asked on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon what costumer she has chosen, she said: "Either like a pirate wench, covered head to toe, or just the basic mime."
