Sandi Toksvig’s ‘naughty’ Bake Off family

Sandi Toksvig feels like she is in a "naughty dysfunctional family" when she is filming ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 60-year-old TV presenter is "in love" with her co-host Noel Fielding and she cannot believe how much fun the pair and the two judges, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, are allowed to get away with on the Channel 4 show.
Speaking at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (13.05.18), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s illegal how much fun we are having.
"I am in love with Noel and completely devoted to Prue and Paul, and the four of us together are just like a naughty dysfunctional family."
While Sandi – who is married to psychotherapist Debbie Toksvig – admitted she and Noel have a "love fest going on", her significant other is not worried.
She said: "We just make each other laugh. There is a love fest thing going. There is a real love fest thing going on. My wife doesn’t mind."
Tim Minchin, Jamie Laing and Ella Eyre were among the stars who recently took part in a celebrity version of the show, ‘The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C’, and the former ‘Call My Bluff’ team captain admits there was so much footage that wasn’t allowed to be broadcast.
She added: "That was just silly nonsense. There was so much we recorded that you couldn’t possibly broadcast.
"I’m lucky, I get to hang out with my friends. What’s not to like?"
