Perrie Edwards turned to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in a bid to overcome her relationship heartbreak.
The 22-year-old singer’s engagement to former One Direction star Zayn Malik ended last year and Perrie has admitted she has subsequently relied on Cheryl – who recently split from her husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini – for emotional support.
She said: "Cheryl is incredible. She has been a very good friend to me, particularly recently.
"She is the nicest person in the world. She knows what we’ve gone through and has great advice."
In 2015, Perrie was seen on a drink-fueled night out with Cheryl and her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, as well as The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes.
Of their night out, Perrie told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "It was a lot of fun and one of those nights where all the girls just wanted to let their hair down. Nicola was saying we should all have a girlie night at Cheryl’s, have something a bit more low-key."
Perrie has recently been flirting with model Jack Greystone, but she isn’t sure if they have a future together.
The singer shared: "I have been talking to him and he’s lovely but he lives in Canada so I’m not sure how it would work."
