Nancy Sinatra Senior passes away aged 101

Nancy Sinatra Senior has died aged 101.
The news of her death has been confirmed by daughter Nancy Junior, who revealed that her mother – the first of Frank Sinatra’s four wives and mother of his three children – had "passed away peacefully".
She wrote on Twitter: "My mother passed away peacefully tonight at the age of 101. She was a blessing and the light of my life. Godspeed, Momma. Thank you for everything. (sic)"
Nancy Sinatra Senior met Frank in New Jersey in 1934 and the loved-up couple quickly got engaged.
However, prior to tying the knot in 1939, the iconic musician admitted to having had an affair with another woman.
And although Nancy was granted a legal separation from her husband in 1951, owing to a string of extra marital affairs, the duo remained on good terms until Frank’s passing in 1998.
Author Gay Talese wrote about the duo in 1966: "There is no bitterness, only great respect and affection between Sinatra and his first wife, and he has long been welcome in her home and has even been known to wander in at odd hours, stoke the fire, lie on the sofa, and fall asleep."
Following their split, Nancy never remarried and, according to the New York Times newspaper, she was happy to enjoy a quiet life in Beverly Hills, where she focused a significant amount of her time on her charitable work.
The couple had three children, including Nancy Junior – who is, perhaps, best-known for the single ‘These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ – Frank Junior, who died in 2016, and film producer Tina, 70.
