Big Narstie lands Channel 4 show

Channel 4 have commissioned a brand new late-night entertainment show staring Big Narstie.
The 32-year-old grime MC – who recently appeared on programmes such as ‘Gogglebox: Celebrity Special for Stand Up To Cancer’ – is to host ‘The Big Narstie Show’ alongside Mo Gilligan, who is also known as Mo the Comedian, in front of a live studio audience following a successful pilot earlier this year.
Syeda Irtizaali, commissioning editor, said: "I can safely say the pilot was like nothing else on television – mad, funny, anarchic and utterly distinctive – and I am delighted that we now get to spend quality time in the company of the indomitable and brilliant Big Narstie and the ridiculously talented Mo Gilligan.
"This series is going to be a real treat."
The episodes will see the pair joined by famous faces each week while presenting segments on the news of the week, TV and showbiz.
Speaking about what viewers can look forward to on the new show, executive producer Ben Wicks said: "Big Narstie – musician, titan of the internet and master-twister of the English language – let loose in his own anarchic late-night Channel 4 show, is the best thing to happen this year.
"We cannot wait to work with him, and his co-host – 2018’s hottest comedic talent – Mo Gilligan.
"You’ve never seen anything like it, unless you’ve watched Graham Norton on acid."
The news comes as it was revealed earlier this month that Mo would also be making his own pilot for Channel 4, ‘Mo’s Town’, as part of their commitment to bringing diversity and up-and-coming talent to the forefront.
